The Operator
Richard Everts publishes as The Operator. The public SIML Codex repository credits that name, and the lab describes the Codex as a philosophical foundation developed with the original Operator during 2024–2025.
The Codex belongs to the conceptual side of the research record: a place to explore recursion, meaning, and the relationship between systems and experience. Its authorship and form should remain visible alongside later technical experiments.
A foundation, with context
Philosophical writing can motivate questions without serving as experimental validation. The Codex is presented here in that spirit, connected to Richard's research and broader writing while preserving the original publication and attribution.
The repository provides the source text and its own history. Subsequent lab papers and prototypes have separate records with their individual dates, authors, and publication status.
